We'd all be a whole lot happier if we praised more. We have so much to be
thankful for, bundles of blessings, and more to be happy about than many
people in the world. But I don't think we praise "the One Who freely gives
us all things" nearly enough. So often we get our eyes on the problems
and difficulties, when just focusing on the good, thinking on the positive,
talking about the positive, and praising God for the positive would drastically
improve our lives for the better.
When you praise God it shows Him you love Him. When praise comes
from the heart, it expresses your love. Praise gives Him the reverence and
honor that is His due. Praising Him is worshipping Him.
Praise is very powerful. It can release you from depression, sadness,
anger and hate. It can strengthen you not only spiritually but physically. It
makes you stronger in spirit‚ more loving, happier‚ and more victorious.
Your praises have drawing power, and the more you praise, the more
power is released to you and surrounds you.
Your praises surround you with a force field both spiritually and physically.
It transports your mind into heavenly places. It can protect you from pain
and eliminate fear.
Just like cocoa beans here on Earth are high in chemicals that can
elevate your mood and give you an uplift, so is praise. Through praising
you receive positiveness‚ a high or lift in the spirit that will brighten your
day, improve your mood, and help to cleanse your heart, mind and body
from depression.
Unlike earthly chocolate that often has a lot of sugar and fat in it, causing
you to be careful about overindulging, there are no limits to how much you
can praise.
Praise as much as you like‚ because the benefits of this spiritual phenomenon
only increase with time and use! Pamper your soul and satiate your
heart and spirit with the perks of praise! There's no such thing as overindulgence!
It'll only make you feel better!
Why be thankful ?
If you woke up this morning with more health than illness, you are more
blessed than the millions who will not survive this week.
If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness of
imprisonment, or the pangs of starvation, you are ahead of 900 million
people in the world.
If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead
and a place to sleep, you are richer than 75% of this world.
If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish
someplace, you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy.
If you can read this message, you are more blessed than over two billion
people in the world who cannot read at all.
If you hold up your head with a smile on your face and are truly thankful,
you are blessed because the majority can, but most do not.
The Two Wolves

In a story from Native American folklore, a grandfather
explains to his young grandson the inner struggle between
good & evil "A battle goes on inside us all," the grand father
began. "It's a battle between two wolves. One wolf is the
embodiment of everything evil, like hate, anger, jealousy,
resentment, greed, arrogance, lying, and selfishness.
The other wolf is the embodiment of everything good, like
love, joy, peace, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, empathy,
generosity, compassion, truth, & faith. The grandson thinks
about those words and then asks, "Which wolf will win?"
The grandfather replied, "The one you feed."
Apply that lesson to discouragement and depression and their antitheses….
positiveness and praise-and you've got the key to a happier, more upbeat
and more successful you. Discouragement is like a wolf pup. Feed it, and it
will grow into depression- a fierce, ravenous full-grown wolf that will turn on
you every chance it gets. But feed its counterpart and you will have a strong
and sure defender against such attacks.
How can you tell these two wolves apart so you'll know which to feed?
Whenever you have a thought that causes you to feel discontent, bitter,
unhappy, or critical, you can be sure it's the wrong wolf, stalking his prey.
Don't be his next meal! Feed the other one instead by filling your mind &
heart with positive, encouraging, strengthening faith-building thoughts.
And remember, the more you feed the good wolf, the stronger he will grow.
